Winning Dog Story for April:
Remembering Chase by Angela G.
I adopted my dog Chase from the Surrey SPCA in 2002.
He was very shy and scared of his own shadow when I brought him home.
I decided to start training him in the sport of dog agility. This brought him out of his shell and built up his confidence level. We met many new friends over the course of the years. He acheived his starters and advanced agility title of Canada.
One summer he let us know that the trees in our backyard were on fire and saved us and our house.
Unfortunately in August of 2010 he passed away from cancer at the young age of 8 years old.
He will remain in the hearts of all who knew him, he was a very special dog.
